Sport at KRB
Kincoppal–Rose Bay School belongs to the Independent Girls’ Schools Association (IGSA), a sporting competition among 27 independent girls’ schools in NSW.
Senior School students compete in team and individual sports at school level and can be selected through IGSA for State and National representative teams and higher competitions.
Most competitions are held on Saturday mornings at member schools. It is school policy that all students are required to participate in at least one sport per term.
Students are offered the opportunity to choose a different sport each season, with selections made electronically through online registration.
- Term 1 and 4 sports remain the same for the year.
- Term 2 and 3 sports remain the same for the year.
- Students cannot switch between Term 1 & 4 or Term 2 & 3.
KRB also runs interhouse competitions in swimming, athletics, and cross country. House Captains organise additional interhouse activities. Weekly after-school classes are offered in swimming, fitness, gymnastics, tennis, and dance.
Competitive Pathways
For structured competition, KRB fields teams in several associations:
- AHIGS (via IGSA): Saturday competitions across independent girls’ schools.
- Eastern Suburbs competitions: Broader regional club pathways.
- House-based carnivals: Engaging the whole school in Swimming, Cross Country, and Athletics.
