A Day in Sophie’s Place
The Sophie’s Place Long Day Care Program offers a nurturing and stimulating environment for our youngest learners from 7.30am to 6.00pm each day. The daily rhythm is designed to provide comfort through consistency while encouraging exploration, creativity, and independence.
Mornings begin with a calm arrival and opportunities for free play, sensory exploration, and connection with educators and peers. As the morning unfolds, children engage in intentional learning experiences inspired by their interests and the Early Years Learning Framework. The middle of the day includes outdoor play, shared meals, and rest time, supporting physical development and emotional wellbeing. The afternoon provides a slower pace, with music, movement, storytelling, and quiet play as children wind down and prepare for home time.
Educators maintain a gentle, predictable routine that allows every child to feel secure, confident, and valued throughout their day at Sophie’s Place.
